The team hopes for $29 donations as Tate wears number 29 for the lacrosse team though.
“Of course a donation in any amount would be greatly appreciated” Adam Lapinski (#22, 11) said.
Tate is currently a sophomore at Manual and was named the 2021 Boy of the Year by the LLS (Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) due to the power and strength to overcome his disease.
“Tate is a warrior. He has fought through so much and still has a long battle ahead. Due to Covid, none of us could visit him, but we have been doing drive-bys, sending letters, and supporting him through social media posts,” said Max Moore, Manual’s boys lacrosse coach.
To further their support the lacrosse team uses #TatesStrong on social media and wears orange to honor him on the field.
