Louisville will be bursting with a variety of events this fall season, from festivals to parades to outdoor concerts. There’s plenty of safe and affordable options for residents to attend, whether relating to the spooky season, fall aesthetics or Pride month, which is starting to get into full swing. Here are some of our top fall event picks to check out.
Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular: September 20-October 31
The Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular takes place at Iroquois Park, Sundays through Thursdays from 7:15 p.m. to 11 p.m. and from 7:15 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Kentuckiana Pride Festival: October 8
The Kentuckiana Pride Festival will take place October 8 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the Big Four Lawn at Waterfront Park. This is in celebration of Pride month and is an opportunity for people of all types of backgrounds and expressions to hang out and have fun. The Belknap Fall Festival: October 9-10
The Belknap Fall Festival is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Belknap neighborhood. All proceeds will go towards community projects such as tree planting, neighborhood cleanups and more. Participants can expect live music from local artists, over 50 booths featuring original art and demonstrations as well as plentiful Louisville foodie fare. Market on Mellwood Fall Festival: October 16
The Market on Mellwood Fall Festival will take place on October 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Mellwood Art Center courtyard. People will be able to buy from local artisans and enjoy their time as the fall weather takes place. Food, drinks and a kids’ play area will also be present. More information can be found here.
Light the Night Louisville: October 21
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) will be hosting the Light the Night event in Louisville this year. This virtual event will be held on October 21 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., via Zoom. People will be able to engage in virtual activities, as well as be able to celebrate the fundraiser and watch this inspiring lantern ceremony. Participants will also be given the opportunity to raise their own virtual lantern in support of the fight against cancer.
