    An unexpectedly warm December

The month of December, 2011 brought large fluctuations in temperature, with temperatures ranging from the low 60s to the upper 20s.

Some people were not used to the weather constantly changing. “I have started noticing that I get more head aches from the pressure change due to the weather,” Leigh Ducas (11) said.

“I don’t really understand how the weather can go from being in the 60 degrees to snowing and then back again,” Taylor Hayes (9) said.

But others considered the fluctuating temperatures to be normal. “I think it’s completely like Kentucky to have weather like this. Every single year the weather is on and off. I’ve kind of gotten used to it, though,” Katharine Stodghill (9) said.

Even though the weather temperatures are constantly changing, students are still keeping their fingers crossed for snow. “I pray for snow! If it’s cold there needs to be snow on the ground,” Hayes said.
