On Friday, Manual hosted a pep rally to conclude Red/White Week and bring excitement to the student body for the rivalry football game against Male.
The pep rally began with the senior class and football team being introduced, which was soon followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the YPAS Concert Choir.
After that, the Dazzlers performed a new routine and then there was a hula hoop relay. A sumo wrestling competition between freshmen and juniors followed the relay. There was a pizza-eating contest, between the four classes, which the seniors won. After the eating contest, the sumo wrestling competition continued with a matchup between the sophomores and seniors.
Psychosis, the Ramstock band winner, performed, followed by a seven-person relay.
The junior and senior powderpuff dance teams performed their routines. Then there was a dizzy bat relay, the sumo wrestling finals, and a performance by the step team.
At the end of the pep rally, points were awarded to the individual classes for the spirit stick, from data that was gathered throughout R/W week. Ultimately, the senior class was declared the winner of the spirit stick.
