On Tuesday night, the Manual boys’ and girls’ bowling teams beat their rival, the Male High School Bulldogs after racking up strikes left and right.
Girls
Game One:
After a bit of a shaky start, the girls picked up momentum later on in the earlier frames. There were many strikes in the fourth frame made by Delaney Henon (9, J&C), Grayson Manning (11, HSU), Morgan White (12, HSU), Riley Borders (12, HSU) and Riley Roberts (12, J&C).
Manual girls also made several strikes in the eighth and ninth frames. Those were made by Katie Dikes (12, J&C), Borders, and Liv Kunkle (12, VA).
In the tenth frame, the girls came through to finish the first game off with strikes by Dikes, Borders, Kunkle, and Roberts.
Game Two:
The second game started out with multiple strikes in the second frame. Henon, Sam Cole (11, YPAS), Borders and Roberts all got strikes.
The Manual girls had another big sweep of strikes in the seventh and eighth frames, with a total of seven strikes. These were made by Henon (who bowled two) Manning, Roberts (who also bowled two), Borders and Kunkle.
In the tenth and final frame, Lily Kilgore (12, HSU), Henon, Borders, Kunkle and Roberts all got strikes and spares to finish off the game.
Baker Games:
The girls’ team also beat Male in the first Baker game, but then lost to them in the second Baker game.
However, due to the number of pin points, the Manual girls’ bowling team won overall.
“[We’re] really dominating right now, but it’s all love here, no hate,” Manning said.
Boys
Game One:
Similar to the way the girl started, the boys picked up momentum with several strikes bowled in the fourth and fifth frames of the first game. Strikes were bowled by Daniel Abrams (12, HSU), Braxton Cox (11, HSU), Wes Cameron (11, HSU), and Cole Seraphine (11, HSU).
The boys had a big sweep in the sixth and seventh frames, too. Strikes were made by Caleb Seow (12, MST), Jackson Roberts (10, HSU), Cameron, and Seraphine.
In the ninth and tenth frames Seow, Cameron, Seraphine, and Roberts finished off their first game with strikes, as well.
Game Two:
The Manual boys had a couple of strikes to start out the second game in the first and second frames. Those were made by Jason Millard (12, HSU) and Seow.
Later in the game, Seow, Millard, J. Roberts, Seraphine, Alex Jones (12, MST), and Cameron all had strikes during the sixth and seventh frames.
To finish off the game, Millard and Seow both got strikes in the tenth frame, while other Crimson boys got spares.
Baker Games:
During the Baker games, the Manual boys lost the first game, but won the second game.
However, the boys’ overall pin points allowed them to win, beating Male.
