On Wednesday September 19th at 7 p.m. the Manual girls JV soccer team will be playing Assumption High School at Manual Stadium. The game will cost five dollars to watch and is open to everyone.

“We [the soccer team] really hope to win, but Assumption is a very good team. I think we can do it,” said Cassidy Meurer (10), who is a midfielder on the JV team.

Incoming freshmen believe this game will be a challenge. “I’m nervous but excited at the same time to play them because I don’t know how good they are,” Rosemary DeMarco (9) said, who is a midfielder on the JV team.

The game last year against Assumption got cancelled due to bad weather. “I can’t wait to show them what we got,” Meurer said.

“We’ve had practice most days after school and we have practices on Saturdays some weeks. We mainly have been working on our shooting skills,” Kyla Drozt (10) said, who is the right outside defense on the Manual JV team.

“They’re good, but we’re better,” Drozt said.

“It’s going to be an amazing game,” Meurer said.
