Manual JV Baseball team faces tough loss

Manual’s junior varsity baseball team is anxious to improve for the upcoming spring season, following a 9-1 loss against a tough Oldham County at St. Matthew’s recreation center on September 9th.

“We hit the ball in play, their defense just made good plays,” said Manual’s catcher, Benjamin Cooper (10).

Matthew Marino (10) scored Manual’s only point of the game.

Head Coach Josh Wolff was proud of the team for re-adjusting after playing with different teams over the summer and is using the fall season as a development time for the players. As for the upcoming spring season, he said that they are looking for a very successful year.

“We have a lot of depth in the lineup and the mound. There is definitely some excitement about this upcoming season,” Coach Wolff said.
