The boys’ basketball team try-outs will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012, right after school. The try-out fee is $40.00.

It is unsure whether they will be held in the small or big gym as of now. The decision will be made as the date approaches.

Although it is only early September, the new and returning players are training as hard as ever in order to perform well during try-outs.

“They are preparing for the season by lifting and working on offense and defense fundamentals twice a week,” James Just, head coach of the varsity team, said.

Players are anticipating the new season, and are anxious to get started.

Michael Nero (10), a returning player, is preparing for the season and shared the motto he lives by when he hits the court. “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work,” Nero said.
