Manual volleyball wins district title over Presentation

After losing the first game to Presentation, Manual came back to win the next three to earn the district volleyball title. The final scores were 23-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.

The team wasn’t worried after losing the first game because they had played Presentation before and knew they could pull through and get the win. “We were not worried at at all after losing the first game. We just had to play our game, and that’s what we did,” said Taylor Greene (12).

Both Presentation and Manual move on to the regional tournament next week at Valley High School. However, Manual earned a better seed with their win in the district final. “We knew we were already advancing to the regional tournament, we just wanted to go into that as district champs,” said Maya McClendon (12).

After the game, McClendon and Gabbi Greenwald (12) were selected for the All-District team as a result of their play in the district tournament.
