Baseball Team Prepares for Practice

The baseball team is approaching the beginning of practice for the 2011 season. Practice officially begins February 15th. This will be their second season under head coach Josh Wolff.

The team recently concluded their period of conditioning, which started this past October and was held three mornings a week, at 5:30AM. On February 5th, 2011, the team had a “field day.”  The day consisted of pulling weeds on the field, laying down turf, and setting up nets at Manual Stadium, where the team practices.

Before the beginning of practice, players must go through a conditioning post-test, to see how they’ve improved since the beginning of conditioning. The conditioning post-tests will be held February 8th and 9th.

“We’re all really excited to get back out and start playing, despite the cold weather and snow,” said Outfielder/Pitcher Patrick Allen (11)

The team’s first game is March 23rd against DeSales High School.
