Boys’ track team races at state meet

The duPont Manual boys’ track team participated in the annual state track meet which was held last Saturday at the University of Louisville’s track. The boys who ran felt they did well despite not winning the meet.

“I was proud of how we did. All of our guys placed better than their seed, and we really showed other teams that we’re getting better,” said Will Short (11).

The team felt their success at the race will help them going into the upcoming season. In addition, there are eight returning seniors who feel their four year of experience will not only help them physically, but mentally prepare them to compete for a state title.

“We have our eyes on next year right now,” said Jack Grundy (11).
