Mayor Fischer Visit

Young Democrats is hosting Mayor Fischer on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 2:30 p. m. in the YPAS auditorium.

Publishers’ Trivia Night

The Publishers’ will host their annual trivia night fundraiser on Saturday, March 3 at Highland Community Ministries. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 per person. Click here for more information.

The event will also feature a silent auction with gift baskets from all J&C publications.

JCPS IdeaFestival

The JCPS IdeaFestival will take place Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. Several Manual students are presenting and attending.

Louisville Academy Information Session

Manual’s guidance office will host an information session on Louisville Academy on Monday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. You must have completed sophomore year and scored at least 28 on the ACT to participate in the program.

Louisville Academy is a program where students attend 1/2 a day at Manual and the other half at UofL. Participants are considered students of both schools and have privileges as a student at each.

JCPS Parent Survey

JCPS is asking all parents and guardians to take a survey on schools that their children attend. You can take the survey here.

Gala Silent Auction Donations

The Crimson Mission is asking for silent auction donations for their annual fundraiser Gala which will take place on March 10. They are specifically asking for commercial donations or gift cards to restaurants and entertainment venues. Donations are needed by March 2. You can contact Amy Kopp to facilitate donating.

NHS Applications Due

National Honor Society applications are due Wednesday, Feb. 28 by 2:30 p.m. to Ms. Mattingly in room 251. No late applications will be accepted.

Marching Band Fundraiser

Manual’s Crimson Sound will host a dinner, trivia and silent auction night on Friday, March 2 at Diorio’s Pizza on Baxter Avenue to raise funds for new uniforms. The buffet and trivia is $25 per person, and they are encouraging silent auction donations.

Women’s Products Donations

Manual will take collections for refugee women in need by collecting female hygiene products and diapers in the cafeterias and room 131 until March 2.
