The duPont Lady Crimsons (16-4) will take on Owensboro Catholic High School this afternoon as they continue their quest for a LIT championship, a feat they haven’t accomplished since 1998.
“Winning the LIT is a big deal, and it would be an honor to finally pull one out,” said Pendleton to the Courier Journal. “It’s probably tougher to win than the state tournament … and it’s frustrating in a sense that we’ve lost two of them here recently.”
Manual is 5-1 against top 20 competition this year and is powered by senior Mechael Guess who lead the team in scoring (14.7 ppg) and rebounding (6.1 rpg).
The game will be held at Bellermaine University at 7 o’clock. The winner will advance to take on the winner of the Sacred Heart (12-9) Franklin County (16-4) on saturday at 10 a.m.
