This week in Manual athletics: Sept. 9-14

Volleyball

After defeating Walden last week, the volleyball team is on the road this week with three away games. On Tuesday, they will travel to Shawnee to face off against the golden eagles. This game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. On Wednesday, the team will travel to Bullitt Central to play at 7:30 p.m. Finally, on Thursday, the team will travel to Ballard to play at 7 p.m. 

Girls’ Soccer

Coming off of a tie against Male last week, the girls’ soccer team will participate in the Lexington Catholic Challenge Cup this week. They will play their first game on Monday against Highlands at 6 p.m. They will play again on Wednesday against a team that will be determined by the first round results. The time for this game is TBA. They will play again on Saturday as part of the same tournament. All of these games will be held at Lexington Catholic High School. Take a look at the bracket here

Boys’ Soccer

After beating Male last week, the Boys’ soccer team will have two games this week. First, on Monday, the team will host Collins at Manual Stadium. This game will begin at 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, they will host Central at Manual Stadium at 5:30 p.m.  Both of theses games are Crimson/Ram card events. 

Football

After a loss to Scott County last week, the football team will host Oldham County at Manual Stadium on Friday. This game will begin at 7:30 p.m. This is Crimson/Ram card event. 

Cross Country

Last week, the boys’ and girls’ cross country team traveled to Mason Ohio for the Mason Invitational where the girls placed third and the boys placed tenth. This week, both the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams will travel to Moore for the Triple M 3K meet on Wednesday. The start times for these races are TBA. 

Field Hockey

After beating Ballard last week, the field hockey team will have two games this week. On Tuesday, they will travel to Assumption to face off against the Rockets at 7:30 p.m. Then, on Thursday they will host Pleasure Ridge Park at Rachel Baker field. This game is a Crimson/Ram card event and will begin at 7 p.m. 

Girls’ Golf

The girls’ golf team has a tournament and two matches this week. First, they will participate in the Jefferson Invitational on Monday. They will play at 4 p.m. at Shawnee Park. On Tuesday, they will face Assumption at 4 at Wildwood Country Club. Finally, on Thursday, they will travel to Long Run Park to play against South Oldham at 4:30 p.m. 

Boys’ Golf

The boys’ golf team will have two matches this week. First, on Monday, they will travel to Heritage Hill to play against Bullitt East at 3:30. Then, on Tuesday, they will play Collegiate at Seneca Park at 3:45 p.m.
