On Tuesday night, the girls’ tennis team took on the Assumption High School Rocket on senior night. Before the match began, the team, alongside friends and family, celebrated the four seniors: Stella Kolers (12, HSU), Manasvi Bhavaraju (12, MST), Ella Xing (12, MST) and Shreya Korrapati (12, MST).


The Lady Crimsons won all five courts against the Rockets, taking home the win. Playing the doubles were the seniors, with Kolers and Xing making one team and Bhavaraju and Korrapati making the other.
“We have a lot of people supporting, or like coming to support, especially, we have friends and family here to support, and I’m really excited,” Bhavaraju said.

Doubles:
Kolers and Xing won their court with a match tie breaker, winning the first set but losing the second 6-5. Their score on the final set was 10-3. Bhavaraju and Korrapati won their doubles match by winning both their sets. Their second set was a set tiebreaker winning 7-5.


“I think it was great. It was really close. You know, kind of climactic, but we, me and Stella, we question at the end with the win,” Xing said.
Singles:
Audrina Schaefer (11, HSU) won her match by winning both her sets 6-0. The good luck continued for the Lady Crimsons with Emma Zelichenok (11, HSU) winning her first set 6-0 and second set 6-2. Vivien Englund (11, HSU) played the third match in the singles, and her two sets both ended with a score of 6-1.


The Lady Crimsons won all five courts, securing their win against Assumption. The teams next game is Thursday, April 30 at Central Park against Lexington Catholic High School.
