The J&C magnet hosted a Welcome Night and ice cream social on Wednesday, Sept. 4 to welcome students and their families to the new school year and discuss plans for the magnet.
Mr. James Miller, Ms. Liz Palmer, and Ms. Amy Ritchie, the magnet teachers, led the event. They told the parents about upcoming field trips, various classes to take in J&C, and the different publications that students can join.
“I think the ice cream social was a really great way for the freshmen to see what we are really all about. And the ice cream was a plus,” Emma Percival (11) said.
