September 9:

Sade’s first tour in over ten years will arrive at the KFC Yum Center and begins at 7 P.M. John Legend will open as Sade performs songs from the beginning of her career to the present, for example her latest hit “Soldier of Love.” Tickets are available at the Yum Center’s box office, through Ticketmaster, at the number (800)-745-3000 and online at Live Nation. Tickets cost $39.50, $59.50, $99.50 or $149.50.

Come and make a change in a cat’s life. The Bistro 301 on 301 W. Market Street is hosting the 4th Annual Cat’s Meow from 11 A.M. – 10 P.M. This fundraiser for Alley Cat Advocates promotes humane treatment of unowned cats. 20% of all sales, which includes funds from a silent auction, will be donated to Alley Cat Advocates. The Blu Italian Mediterranean Grille on 280 W. Jefferson Street will host a night of fun with flamenco music and dance by Flamenco Louisville from 7 P.M. – 9 P.M. This event will include many Spanish dishes for you to try. For more information call (503)-617-4285

A new theatre called Theatre 502 is hosting a “teaser show” to announce its arrival to the community from September 8-9 starting at 8 P.M. “The Debate Over Courtney O’Connell of Columbus, Nebraska” by Mat Smart is a story of a love challenged by two rivals for one woman’s heart. The production will be held at The Land of Tomorrow on 233 W. Broadway. For more information go to this website. Admission is $15.

September 10:

Walk with champions in the 2011 Memory Walk to End Alzheimer’s this Saturday.  Walk through the Waterfront Park with Champions who currently live with the disease, their family, and others to help raise funds and awareness.  This event is organized by the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Come see Katy Perry as her “California Dreams 2011 World Tour” comes to the KFC Yum Center in Louisville, where she will be accompanied by Janelle Monae and DJ Skeet Skeet. Tickets are $38-$48.

The 3rd Annual September Art Fair will be held at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center at 1860 Mellwood Ave.  It will begin at 10 A.M. and last through 6 P.M. from September 10-11. The event will include entertainment, booths, children’s activities, food and 165 artists. For more information call (502)-895-3650. Admission is free.

Bellarmine University will be hosting the Louisville Irish Fest this Saturday from 11 A.M. – 10 P.M. and Sunday from 12 P.M. – 6 P.M. The event includes Irish food and drinks, live entertainment and music. Call (502)-452-8155 for more information. Admission is $4 for kids (ages 6-12), $6 for adults and $4 for seniors.

The Level 22 Expo is coming to Louisville at the Kentucky Expo Center. The event will include a video game tournament and a tour to see the latest and greatest video games and gaming accessories. It will last September 10 from 10 A.M. – 9 P.M. and September 11 from 10 A.M. – 7 P.M. Call (502)-367-5000 for more information. Admission is $20 daily, $35 for a weekend pass, and $15 for tournament entry (per person). Parking is $8.
