Your handy guide to Red/White Week

Manual’s annual Spirit Week leading up to the Old Rivalry game against Male High School runs from October 17 to October 22. Here’s a guide to the events and themes of the week:

2011 Red/White Week

Monday October 17: PJ DAY. Wear pajamas to school. The music festival Ramstock will be held in the courtyard immediately after school.

Tuesday October 18: DECADE DAY. Dress appropriately for your favorite decade gone by (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s).

Wednesday October 19: COSTUME DAY. Wear your Halloween costume to school. The Crimson Carnival will be held on the front lawn immediately after school.

Thursday October 20: DOOMSDAY. Wear all black to school to help us mourn for Male’s sad little bulldog. The traditional Burial of the Bulldog ceremony will be held in Center Hall at 7:15 AM (arrive early; it’ll be crowded). The annual junior-senior powderpuff football game will be held at Manual Stadium at 5 PM.

Friday October 21: SPIRIT DAY. Wear red & white to school. The pep rally will begin at 1:10 PM.

Saturday October 22: GAME DAY. The 129th edition of the Old Rivalry football game happens today at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium at 4 PM. See you there!
