This week in Manual athletics: Oct. 14-18

After defeating St. Xavier last week, the football team will travel to Pleasure Ridge Park this Friday to play at 7:30.


Girls’ Soccer

After defeating Central to become the District 25 champions last week, the girls’ soccer team will move on to their regional tournament this week. On Monday, they will face Atherton at Manual Stadium at 5:30 (moved from the original time of 7). The winner of this game will go on to play on Wednesday at Sacred Heart. Boys’ Soccer

After defeating St. Francis in the District 25 championship last week, the boys’ soccer team will move on to their regional tournament this week. On Monday, they will face Collegiate at Manual Stadium at 7:30. The winner of that game will play again on Wednesday at 7:30 at Manual Stadium. Take a look at the brackets here


After defeating both South Oldham and Atherton last week, the volleyball team will have two games this week. On Tuesday, they will host Collins at Manual at 7:30. This is a Crimson/Ram card event. Then, on Thursday, they will travel to Mercy to play at 7. 

Field Hockey

After defeating Holy Cross and Male last week and losing to Christian Academy of Louisville, the field hockey team will take a break from games this week to prepare for their regional tournament next week. The team will play next Monday at Rachel Baker field to begin the tournament. The time and opponent are TBA. 

Cross Country

Last week, both the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams came in first place in the third Triple M Meet. This week, both teams will begin their postseason with the JCPS Championship meet at Tom Sawyer Park. The meet will be held on Thursday, October 18th. The girl’s varsity will race at 4:30, the boy’s varsity will race at 5:00 and the combined boys and girls JV race will be at 5:30.
